I provide optimum access to e-books, e-book collections and discovery service, including implementation and administration of e-books and discovery service as well as troubleshooting and resolving access issues.

About Metadata Strategies Department

We facilitate effective discovery of JMU collections through conventional and emergent information technologies. We create and manage metadata for scholarly, identity management, and cultural heritage purposes. We also create and manage metadata for relevant resources both maintained internally by the Libraries and external to it. We provide “metadata-as-a-service” consultations and training for faculty, staff, and students.

About Discovery, Access, and Technology Unit

We are responsible for collections, metadata, and technology. Departments include Access and Delivery, Interlibrary Loan and Course Reserves, Metadata Strategies, Collection Administration, Data & Scholarly Communications, and Technology.
