About me
As Director of Metadata Strategies, I work with virtually every Libraries division, as well as consulting with faculty and students on an ad hoc basis. I manage a staff of six. I joined JMU Libraries in August 2013 as Metadata Librarian. Prior to working at Libraries I was Technology Advisor and Indexer-Analyst at the American Theological Library Association in Chicago. I enjoy adjunct teaching, research in several disciplines, and engineering survivable culinary adventures.

About Metadata Strategies
We facilitate effective discovery of JMU collections through conventional and emergent information technologies. We create and manage metadata for scholarly, identity management, and cultural heritage purposes. We also create and manage metadata for relevant resources both maintained internally by the Libraries and external to it. We provide “metadata-as-a-service” consultations and training for faculty, staff, and students.
