Book art structures include accordion books, pop-ups, miniatures, altered books, and more. This is an art medium that is book-like in its form, function, or concept.

Explore a selection of artists’ books from JMU Libraries Special Collections, curated by students in Prof. Lyall Harris’ ART 276 class (Introductory Book Arts: Materials and Structures), with assistance from Kate Morris, Faith Benavides, Julia Merkel, and David Vess of JMU Libraries. The exhibit is located outside the Special Collections Reading Room, on the second floor of Carrier Library, until December, 2022.
