Departments include Access & User Services, Digital Scholarship & Distinctive Collections, and Research & Education Services.

About Access & User Services Department

We staff the Libraries’ buildings (Rose Library, Libraries Express, and the Music Library), answer and refer user questions, and circulate library collections. Teams include Access & Delivery, Library & Information Services, and the Music Library.

About Library and Information Services Team

We connect JMU’s diverse communities with the Libraries’ resources through a holistic approach to front-line services. We staff the main service desks in Rose Library and Libraries Express, as well as coordinate the Ask the Library service. We provide support for checking out materials, help people find library items and electronic resources in our collections, and work closely with other Libraries’ departments to seamlessly connect people with the resources and expertise they need.
