About me

In my role as Director of Collections, I support and direct activities related to the licensing, procurement, and discovery of JMU Libraries’ collections. I serve as the chair of the Collection Management Committee and collaborate across departments to ensure good stewardship of materials resources, and that collections acquisitions and maintenance processes align with JMU Libraries goals and values. About Collections, Acquisitions, and Metadata Department

We connect the JMU community with the Libraries’ scholarly collections by acquiring, managing, and describing resources that support research, teaching, and learning. We also support the development and assessment of library collections, ensuring they remain responsive to evolving community needs. Through values-driven licensing, metadata expertise, and a robust acquisitions program, CAM facilitates the discovery and seamless access of scholarly content.

About Discovery, Access, and Technology Unit

We are responsible for collections, metadata, and technology. Departments include Collections, Acquisitions, and Metadata, Interlibrary Loan and Course Reserves, and Technology.
