Microforms is located in stack 2B of Carrier Library's first
floor and is supported by the Circulation Department. The Microforms room is open all hours that the library is open. There are five microforms readers that are all connected to computers, allowing patrons to scan and save materials. All machines are networked to a printer and card readers that use FLEX or DART copy cards (these are available for purchase at the DART machine located next to the Public Services Desk). The cost to print is 5 cents per page. If you will be saving scanned versions of your documents, it is recommended that you bring a USB flash drive to store your work.
Should you need assistance with the microforms, there is a phone located in the microforms room (next to the elevator) that connects you to the Public Services Desk or feel free to stop by the desk. You are also welcome to contact Kate Worley (568-4664, firstname.lastname@example.org) to set up an appointment for assistance.
About the Collections
Carrier Library owns a variety of microform collections. We have a large collection of periodicals, journals, newspapers and ERIC documents that are contained on microfiche, microfilm and micro cards. All materials are catalogued in LEO and cabinets for these collections are marked accordingly.
