About me

I have been in the JMU Libraries system since 2017. Through the Learning Innovations and Design unit, I share my expertise, knowledge, and passion for multimedia creation with faculty, staff, and students at the university, with the focus on media design and online learning. I host scheduled educational technology workshops each semester and provide consultations for faculty, departments, and organizations on their learning needs. I also share my expertise with our local community by serving on the Advisory Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. I have served in the United States military and have been awarded two Humanitarian Service Medals and a Certificate of Commendation for my service in the United States Marine Corps. I proudly share my Mexican heritage, military background, and professional passions with the JMU community with the intent of creating a more inclusive and equitable environment.
