Jenna Landes

Makerspace Instructor

About me

As a Makerspace Instructor, I help a diverse range of patrons from students, faculty, staff, and community members to make all kinds of creations. I help to maintain and troubleshoot many technologies within the space to ensure that operations run smoothly. I also train patrons on how to use the tools in our space so that they can leave with newfound knowledge which they can then apply independently in the future. I have so much fun helping users with various types of projects, offering creative and technical advice on challenging tasks when asked, and seeing their ideas come to life. Persevering through the trial and error of a creative process is greatly energizing and meaningful to me.

I am a fiber artist with a specialty in crochet. My main focus is creating garments, as I have a great appreciation for fashion. I teach crochet workshops in the Makery as well as helping with sewing workshops and various other textile art endeavors. My other interests include nature, singing, playing instruments and music in general, movies, animals, and any craft that sparks my fancy at any given time.
