With locations in Carrier and Rose libraries, our Audio/Video (A/V) Studios provide JMU students, faculty, and staff with state-of-the-art recording equipment as they work on their academic, professional, and personal projects. Visit our Media Production page to get started.

Our A/V Studios are equipped with:

- Mirrorless cameras with lenses
- Tripods
- Studio lights
- Microphones (wired shotgun and wireless lavaliers)
- Backgrounds
- Teleprompter
- Audio sound board
- Podcast microphones
- Lightboard (Rose Library, faculty/staff only)
A/V Production Services for Faculty and Staff
Additional services are available to support faculty and staff in creating instructional or scholarly content. These services, including editing, captioning, and on-location video recording, support projects such as:
- tutorials or “how to” videos
- pre-lab demonstrations
- class introductions
- in-studio interviews of subject matter experts
- video abstracts
- narratives (scenarios, skits, or stories to support learning)
- short lectures or modules for JMU courses
- select informational videos (depending on the scope and nature of the project)
