Library Spaces

JMU Libraries offers a variety of spaces to support teaching, learning, creativity, and faculty and student research.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Most public spaces in the Libraries are available to JMU community members and visitors who abide by safety protocols. Look for signage that will help you find the best space for your need.

In-person services are offered during our adjusted building hours at the Ask the Library desks in Carrier, Rose, and Music Libraries. Most services and support for teaching, learning, research, and creative exploration will continue to be provided remotely and/or by appointment only. Library users are encouraged to request items through the library catalog for pickup.

Most service areas including Special Collections, Media Production Services, and The Makery, are available by appointment only.
