Dean of Libraries & Chief Academic Technology Officer, Professor
I joined JMU as Dean of Libraries and Professor of English in mid-2019, after a career in research and library-based DH administration and the digital cultural heritage nonprofit sphere. Since April 2020, I’ve additionally served as JMU’s Chief Academic Technology Officer. It’s my privilege to help shape James Madison University’s approach to technology for research, teaching, and learning, and to lead the wonderful staff and faculty of the JMU Libraries.

About Academic Engagement
Academic Engagement is a public-facing division of the Libraries, under formation now. Departments are temporarily divided in reporting lines while we see a new associate dean, and include Digital Projects, Library and Information Services, Music Library, Research & Education Services, and Special Collections.
About Libraries Administration
We support and challenge JMU Libraries’ staff and faculty to live up to our guiding statements — as we work together to provide excellent library and educational technology resources, spaces, services, and expertise to our campus community.
