A few temporary service adjustments will be in place this summer as we relocate Equipment Loans and the Learning Innovations & Design Desk from Rose Library to Carrier Library — and prepare a second Makery location and media studio to open in Carrier.
Equipment Loans
Our Equipment Loans service operates out of our Learning Innovations & Design Desk. Both will move to Carrier Library this summer.
- Now through June 18: Check out cameras, microphones, and other equipment at the Learning Innovations & Design Desk in Rose Library.
- June 19 through August 2: The service will be temporarily closed. You may keep checked-out equipment during this time.
- July 6 through 31: You may return checked-out equipment to the Ask the Library desk in Rose Library.
- Starting August 3: All equipment loan services will resume in Carrier Library, where you will be able to check out and return equipment at the new Learning Innovations & Design Desk.
Learning Innovations & Design Desk
- June 19 through August 2: In-person services provided by the Learning Innovations & Design Desk will be unavailable while relocating from Rose Library to Carrier Library.
- Ongoing support: You may call or email the Learning Innovations and Design Desk at any time, even when its in-person services are closed.
The Makery
- The Makery in Rose Library will be unavailable June 19 through August 2 while we prepare a second location to open in Carrier Library.
- August 3: Makery locations will reopen in both Rose and Carrier Library.
Media Production
- The Video & Audio Production Studio in Rose Library will be closed June 19 through July 5. It will reopen on July 6 in Rose.
- Ongoing support: You may request a media production consultation even when these in-person services are closed.
- Another media studio will open in Carrier on August 3.
