Carolyn Schubert

Associate Dean for Academic Engagement, Interim Director (RES, LIS, Music Library), Professor

About me

As Associate Dean for Academic Engagement, I help plan and strategize library services related to teaching, learning, and research using information in our local collections, resources from around the world, and in our spaces. Learning how to find, evaluate, and use information is key to developing information literate students and faculty. Preserving information for people to use is an important aspect of this work. I work with experts across four teams — Digital Scholarship & Distinctive Collections, Library & Information Services, Music Library, Research & Education Services — to achieve this work. More details about my professional background are available in my CV.

As a researcher, I have interests around liaison librarianship, evidence-based decision-making, and information-seeking behaviors. Please check out my Google Scholar profile to view my past publications, presentations, and other scholarly achievements.
