As liaison to the School of Nursing and Department of Health Professions, I help students, faculty, and staff effectively gather health information to inform their decision-making. My main duties include:
- Provide instruction on finding, evaluating, and using health information sources
- Consult with students about health research and tools to manage research (ex: citation tools)
- Select books, journals, databases, videos, and more to support teaching & learning at JMU
- Help instructors understand copyright and fair use as they apply to course materials
As Director of Research & Education Services, I lead the team on provide leadership for planning, implementation, promotion, and assessment of Research & Education Services programs and services, including the Libraries’ Liaison Librarian program, information literacy instruction, and consultation services. I also collaborate with colleagues across the Libraries to develop integrated, innovative library services, as well as contribute to the overall planning and management of Libraries. As appropriate, I also collaborate with campus partners to support the coordination of aligned research and education focused services.
